  hi, only just joined.

  going through a rough time at the moment and maybe this could help.

  Model Jw family?

  i would like to get the opinion of those on this community.

  does serving as an elder make one a bad family man.

  with all the demands placed on those serving... how can one make time for family life?

  Going to the meeting was like a comic strip in our "model family". All the way there we would be arguing then we'd step out the car and be all smiles and "hi, how are you?" 😇 After the meeting we'd get back in the car and continue the argument exactly where we left off. 😈

  i've left a couple of semi-"humorous" remarks, but not yet said a proper hello....but firstly thank you, to all, for this site and all its comments.i have been lurking on this site for 4-5 years, awake for 5-6 years and seriously fading for the last 4 years.

  i am now "out" and widely considered "out" by the congregation but due being very cautious and playing a very long game, (and having a wife who understand the repercussions of blowing the whistle on the few viewpoints i have discussed with her) i have not been df'd of da'd.

  this forum has been a crutch and guide as well as helping me wake - and the humour many on here use has been a welcome relief.

  my name is christian and my wife is katja, and we have been out of the organization for a year and a half.

  we were both regular pioneers and i was a ministerial servant.

  we were very much happy to be witnesses and doing our best to do more for the organization.

  Facing mortality after leaving the witnesses

  tell me i'm not overly thinking this.. i'm 39 years old...still youngish...but i worry about getting old.

  i look in the mirror and it depresses me.

  i suppose i still cling to watchtower utopia when no one would age over 25.. i used to look forward to paradise earth because it meant all the evil in the world, nuclear warfare, terrorist attacks and sickos would be no more, but we are deep in the 21st century with no end in sight.. appreciate your comments.

  i am curious if my observations are correct.

  i noticed alot of exjws end up majoring in the social sciences.

  i am also interested in what educational choices people have made either while fading or while completely out.

  hi, i believe that a lady is put on earth to satisfy the needs of her partner and respect his views in all matters.. i realize some here may consider that old fashioned and not based on sexual equality.. yet a lady and man are not created equal because the lady gives birth and the man must sire many children.

  i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.

  i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.
